The Season’s Final Three Majors
The current world No. 1 Inbee Park will have an opportunity to win Evian Championship and Ricoh Women’s British Open. This means that she has an opportunity to complete the Career Grand Slam. According to several experts, this young golfer is one of the best. She won the U.S. Women’s Open two times, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship three times and she won the ANA Inspiration (2013). This also means that she may be the seventh golfer in the LPGA history who accomplished the feat.
This South Korean golfer is known for the impressive game during this season. Fans expect that she will play well in the next three majors. You probably remember that she finished 4th at the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Royal Birkdale Golf Club last year. In the previous Evian Championship, she finished T-10. Since 2013, this event has been recognized as major. Park won this event in 20123.
Sei Young Kim is a rookie, but you already know this. She was runner-up in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and she finished T-4 on the ANA Inspiration. She made cuts in the majors in 2014. This season, she has 2 wins and four top-6 finishes. If she won a major, she will be the first rookie, after Anna Nordqvist (2009) who achieved this.
Nordqvist is still one of the most popular LPGA golfers. She won the ShopRite LPGA Classic (in May). This was her 5th LPGA victory. She finished T-9 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and T-4 at the ANA Inspiration. In the 4 appearances in the Ricoh Women’s British Open she finished three times in the top-12.
