Stacy Lewis is ready for the next challenge
Stacy Lewis experienced a finish, from a textbook on the last Walmart NW Arkansas Championship Presented by P&G. This, University of Arkansas champion, claimed her 11th LPGA victory. This victory helped her in the Rolex Player of the Year Award. Now, she is hoping that she can repeat the success from the last year. She wants to claim the first title in this season. Also, she wants to successfully defend her title at the Pinnacle Country Club.
Lewis, finished the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in a tie for 13th. She had good, but not perfect season. Of course, this is based on her own standards. A new victory can return her to the world No. 1. Lewis will have a hard time in accomplishing her goals. The new No. 1, Inbee Park, won the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship for the third time. Park is the only LPGA golfer who won three times this season. She also won in Arkansas in 2013. Experts say that she will be among the leaders for this week’s event. The value of the event is $2 million.
Lydia Ko had her first missed cut in her career. She will also look for a place among the leaders. Also, she will have a lot of motivation for the next event. Sei Young Kim, still a rookie, finished 5 shots behind Park. She will also be on the 4 day event.
Yani Tseng, a former world No.1 has two victories in Arkansas (2010 and 2011). She enjoys is a par 71 and in 6.386 yard course. The recent winners, Anna Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen will also participate in this event.
