Three young golfers: Lexi Thompson, Latanna Stone & Jessica Korda
Qualifying to play at the U.S Women’s Open at a tender age of 12, she was the youngest golfer. She went on to win the LPGA tournament at the age of 16. The quick pace she maintained resulted in her winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship. She comes from a family of golfers: Lexi’s two brothers are also dedicated to the game. Lexi has given up her college education to pursue her sport and she wouldn't have it any other way. Fallen truly in love with the game, it is no surprise to see her at the top of her career.
This young golfer had her first brush with the sport at the age of 2, and there has been no turning back ever since. The American golf prodigy has gained a lot of attention from the golfing community having set new standards for amateurs. Despite media coverage and attention she receives, she has her feet on the ground admitting that this is a part of a learning experience and that she has a long adventure awaiting her. Apart from loving golfing, Latanna is like any other girl her age, madly in love with her dogs and anything hot pink!
Jessica is the daughter of professional tennis players, but she has chosen golf. Having played in 15 events in her rookie year, her finish was a tie for 19th at the Avnet LPGA Classic. She won her second tour title in 2014. With her latest win being the Sime Darby LPGA, Malaysia in 2015, the path before her looks bright and promising.
