Sonja Przybylski wants to be a golfer
One of the best softball players in the Cedar Valley was Sonja Przybylski. She played softball for the University of Northern Iowa and before that for Cedar Falls High School. Everyone expected to see her as one of the best softball players ever, but she changed all that. Now, she is a golfer. Actually, she is one of the Panther’s best golfers, with average 80.65 strokes per 18 holes. The interesting fact is, before freshman year at Cedar Falls High School, she never played golf. She didn’t even touch a golf club.
Recently, Przybylski announced that she always played softball, and she thought this was the right sport for her. Once when she tried golf, she realized that it is an equally interesting sport. The person who told her that golf offers more options than a softball was her father. Przybylski believes that if you put a lot of time in this sport, you will become a very good golfer. When she was younger, she played on a traveling softball team and thought that golf is just some sport that you can play in free time. Now, it is the best sport for her.
Although, her softball team misses her, she wants to stay in golf. On the other side, the college game is a bit different than a high school game. You must play every weekend, and the season starts earlier. Because you play often, the time that is needed to improve your game isn’t available. For the last two weeks, this young golfer practiced her short game. It will be very important at the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship.
